We got to harvest buckeyes. Its no secret that ALL OHIOans are die hard Buckeye fans. Not only the team, but the trees (nuts), and the candy. We were invited by our native Ohio neighbors to harvest the buckeye tree this year. The kids had a blast. You knock off the seeds with nuts inside and separate them. The nuts are then used for decorating or necklaces. A tradition we look forward to next year!
