Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum

Natural History Museum
Drew and I decided last week to go to Washington DC on his break from school. We left on Wednesday after Jada's school and headed out. We drove through New York, then on to Pennsylvania. We stopped for dinner there and booked our priceline hotel. We continued on to DC and arrived there at 10:30pm. We got lucky and stayed in a Marriot HighRise Hotel a half a mile from the White House. After quickly realizing that {we were out of our element}- we found an ATM to tip the valet so were didn't look like complete hillbillies. It was fun to stay at a $650 a night hotel for $75 and have people waiting on us hand and foot.
Come morning- we drove around the corner to a McDonalds- then realized we needed quarters for parking--sooo...another bank run for quarters. After getting the food and driving over to some of the sites- we quickly realized that parking over there was going to be an issue. We turned around- valet'd the van- and started walking (because we were so close). All 3 kids were in strollers and happy.
We started off first by going to Museums. We started the day with the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum. The kids LOVED it- dinosaurs, fossils, animals, sea creatures, etc...one right after another! Never a dull moment- A MUST!
Next was the Air and Space Museum- again, we LOVED it. Finally- we quickly went through parts of the American History Museum. I REALLY wanted to do the Holocaust Museum- but for the obvious- was not kid friendly. This was only the beginning of our tour of Washington DC and only about 10 of the 25 miles Drew and I walked! :)
