A sweet lady at church came up to me one Sunday and asked if my kids might want to come some baby chicks they had just got. I knew they would love it, so we scheduled a day. I met her daughter there (Childress') for a little play date. She has kids similar in ages to mine as well. The kids ran around, held and fed baby chicks, and chased the chickens. Jada even caught one. Taya was a bit reluctant to hold them, but that didn't surprise me. We loved being on her farm and playing with the animals. Too bad it was 90 degrees with 90 percent humidity that day. Needless to say, we had our picnic in the house:)
